Rheintal IX Association
In order to operate a public Internet Exchange, participants in the IX, private persons as well as companies should be able to participate in the project and operation. Everybody who wants to actively support an Internet Exchange in the region is welcome.
The Rheintal IX Association is the organization behind the technical project and the operation of the Rheintal IX infrastructure. The technicians who are responsible for administrative and technical tasks at the Internet Exchange are elected by the association. Likewise, the association or the board decides on strategy, investments, extensions, connection of participants to the IX and the like. Contracts and agreements between sponsors, partners, participants and suppliers are also managed by the association.
The Rheintal IX Association is a non-commercial organization and was founded on 27. October 2011 as a registered association in Liechtenstein. Our statutes in the current version of 27 October 2011 can be found here. The association board is elected at the annual meeting for a period of one year.
