Ports and fees

Switch ports and patching are charged with a one-time setup fee. There are no recurring charges for the first 1 GBit/s port.
The setup fee is used to finance the equipment and small material for the operation of the Rheintal IX.

Ports and fees

  • 1 GBit/s switchport (100/1000Base-T):
    • No recurring costs!
    • Setup-fee: CHF 200,- once-off
  • 10 GBit/s switchport (10GBASE-SR/-LR/-BX):
    • First switchport: CHF 600,- per year
    • Every additional switchport: CHF 360,- per year
    • Setup-fee: CHF 400,- once-off

 

In-house patching within the Rheintal IX locations

  • Patch cables and SFPs on the Rheintal IX side are included in the setup-fees
  • The costs for patching within the collocations are to be paid by the participant
  • Patch cables and SFPs on the participants-side are in the particpants responsbility

 

Remote connection

An alternative connection option is to use a Layer2/Ethernet carrier link (DWDM, MPLS) from your remotely installed BGP router to one of the Rheintal IX locations.

Our partners will be pleased to offer you appropriate fiber links or Layer2/Ethernet carrier links with variable bandwidths for remote peering participation in Rheintal IX.
